The start time will be Friday, February 27th at 12 PM, at the Berkeley Faculty Club (details below in "Site Information" section). Please arrive at 12:00 for registration, for lunch, and to set up your posters Posters (w/ Updated Grant Number) Each research group should prepare a poster to display during the Friday evening poster session. Please make the posters 30" X 40" (either wide or tall, your preference). Click on the following link to download an MS Powerpoint template of the poster, TALL or WIDE (both are 650K, MS Powerpoint format). Display boards and easels for the posters will be provided at the site of the workshop. If you have a poster that you would already like to use, or if you have trouble downloading the Poster files, click here to download the SINAM logo, which you can add to your poster. Reimbursement For Workshop reimbursements, individual school's SINAM subawards will be used to reimburse Workshop participants. Please process your reimbursement requests through your funds and keep the supporting records and we will reimburse these totals in the next round of funding. Reimbursable expenses include airfare, hotel, taxi (or other ground transportation), meals, and supplies directly related to the conference (i.e. posters). Hotel Information Faculty members requesting accommodations from SINAM will be staying at the Berkeley Women's Faculty Club. All other attendees requiring hotel accommodations will be staying at the Emeryville Courtyard by Marriott. If you have not received your confirmation before 2/18/09, contact Nga Bui. Shuttle services will be provdied between the Emeryville Courtyard by Marriott to UCB's campus during the workshop dates. More information will be provided shortly. Day 1 & 2 meetings will take place at the Berkeley Faculty Club. Specific locations for each session are provided on the Workshop Agenda. Directions to campus can be found at the following link: http://www.berkeley.edu/visitors/traveling.html. More specific directions to the hotels can be found at the hotel links above. If you do choose to drive and you are staying in one of the campus hotels, upon arrival you should go directly to the hotel to obtain a parking permit. This will enable you to park in the hotel parking structure, located nearby. If you are planning to drive but not staying in accommodations on campus, please contact the conference organizer for a visitor parking permit. The visitor permits that can be provided by the conference organizer DO NOT enable you to park overnight on campus. These can only be obtained from the hotel where you will be staying. All of the sessions of the workshop are within short walking distance of the Women’s Faculty Club, so driving will not be necessary at the site. You are encouraged to either take a shuttle or BART to the campus from the airport. A one-way shuttle fare from the OAK airport to campus should cost (roughly) $28.00. If you are traveling with a group a taxi is also a good option. A one-way taxi fare from SFO to campus will cost around $75.00 - $90.00, depending on traffic and the time of day. For shuttle service, BayPorter is recommended: http://www.bayporter.com Dining Information Lunch & dinner will be provided on 2/27, and breakfast & lunch on 2/28 will also be provided, at the Berkeley Faculty Club. Details will be available on the agenda. The workshop site is located within walking distance of many restaurants.
